Dear Manager! This message is late in coming to you, but I wanted to thank you and the staff of the Lighthouse for a wonderful birthday/going away weekend. The service and the setting were outstanding as always and Frank really outdid himself with the Saturday night seafood feast! It was really special and everyone who came said they felt like they'd had a little bit of paradise. It was wonderful beyond my expectations! I'll be back for work in January and one of the first things on my to-do list will be a few days at the lighthouse! July 2012

Just wanted to say what an amazing weekend we had at the light house. The staff, service and food is incredible! I am hoping to be your no1 promoter in Dar and tell everyone one of my customers about the fabulous time we had. Many Thanks again. June 2012

We visited The Lighthouse two times. Once with family from Europe and once with other expat families from Dar es Salaam. Both times we had a great time. The staff is most helpfull and kind. They provide food and drinks at any time and any place, whatever you prefer. The food is excellent, the drinks are cold, there is a lot of space for children to play and they love the turtles in the garden. The beach is very beautifull and unspoiled. For us this is the ideal home away from home. At only 45 minutes drive from the ferry from Dar, it's the perfect place to get out of town and enjoy some time with family and friends. We are allready planning our next weekend! February 2012

We had a great time and it's always good to come back to The Lighthouse Beach Resort to meet Frank and the rest of the lovely staff. The food is excellent and it's so beautiful and peacful to come out to this great place. To wake up, take a coffee just outside your room, enjoy the amazing view; some fish boats are out there..., an eagle is flying near the old Lighthouse on the cliff,.and the beautiful beach is just waiting to get your company. Go down for a lovely breakfast, then off to the most fantastic white sandy beach (where it's only you and some fishermans..) and spend a lazy day in the sun. Even for a sun-hungy Norwegian it's good to have the banda, to get some shadow and to enjoy a drink and eat a great lunch. We even got our own romantic lunch down at the beach; white table with flowers and champagne.. just for my love and me. It was fantastic! Before dinner it's a must to sit on the roof terrass to see the sun going down and sip to a cold drink or glas of wine. I'll recommend to go for a walk to the small village nearby. It's so diffrent to our modern and busy life back home. I'm looking forward to my next visit! January 2012

We had a great weekend at The Lighthouse with four families. The staff is excellent, the food is great and the location is beautifull. Good value for money and absolutely recommended as a weekend getaway from Dar es Salaam. The beach is a short walk down the cliff and beautifull. Don´t expect top end, but enjoy the beautiful location, friendly staff and fantastic food. January 2012.

I spent a wonderful weekend with my family and relatives from Europe in November. We stayed in nice and comfortable lodges with an amazing view on the sea ! Our two sons loved to play in the beautiful garden. The nice walk down to the beach is 5-10 minutes (with small children). The beach and sea are gorgeous, especially at low-tide the swimming is superb and the beach is amazing. There is one banda on the beach and staff will bring chairs, tables and drinks (even food can be served on the beach). Three times a day excellent meals are being served. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. At night electricity is provided as well as a solar lamp. Prices are very reasonable and quality is high, especially in comparison with other places on the South Beach. Really a place you should visit while living in Dar! December 2011

Spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Lighthouse Beach Resort in combination with a trip to Mikumi national park last summer. We stayed in a beautiful bungalow with amazing, authentic interiour and an amazing view overlooking the Indian Ocean. The longstretched sandy beach nearby was postcard-perfect. The food was great, so was the company. The staff really made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived ´till the moment we left. I will most definately come back one day. July 2011
